Indulge your love of Egyptian dance while immersing yourself in the culture, cuisine, and sunshine of Greece and the beautiful Aegean Sea. Stay in a typical Greek family-owned hotel on Naxos Island, just steps from one of the island’s most beautiful beaches, Agia Anna.

 

Learn technique and choreography from master Egyptian dance instructors Faten and Wael Mansour, whose extensive expertise covers the spectrum of Egyptian dance, from its folkloric roots all the way to more modern interpretations.

This 6-day, 7-night retreat offers you the unique opportunity to learn from these two renowned instructors in a small class setting. Dancers in all stages of their dance journey are welcome. The class schedule will be posted once it is finalized.

The week is structured to encompass 12 hours of dance instruction as well as plenty of free time to relax and explore Naxos. 

 

Each day begins with breakfast at a beautiful beachfront restaurant. Lunch will be on your own, allowing you select from the many small restaurants nearby. We will regroup in the evening to dine in quaint Greek tavernas, except for two evenings when you can set your own schedule and have dinner in one of the many wonderful restaurants in the area.

During your free time, you can relax on the beach, hop the local bus to the capitol of Naxos to visit the historic area and enjoy a little shopping, sign up for a locally run excursion on the island, or take the ferry for a day trip to Mykonos Island. These activities are not included in your package, but we can help you with information.

We have built into the schedule a class where you’ll learn to make the traditional Greek orange cake, portocalopita. We’re also arranging an island-hopping boat trip to visit various beaches around Naxos. 

 

​​On our final night in Naxos, we’re planning an informal dance party. We hope you will consider packing a costume and sharing your talent with the group.
